Gary Carter—Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Gary Carter’s vision has been the driving force behind Resort Owners Group.

Carter started his career in the banking and investment industries, where he quickly moved to the top of investment sales in Canada. He has acted as an entrepreneur, principal and agent in financing, acquiring and selling over $100 million in resort vacation assets. Before he recognized the opportunities in fractional and managed resort homes, he developed a number of business ventures in merchant banking, technology, real estate and leisure.

Gary’s passion for sports and travel is what initially sparked the idea for the Resort Owners Group model. As a pioneer in the space of fractional ownership Carter created & tested an early model in 1990 in Scottsdale Arizona, what is now known as fractional ownership. Starting as a hobby, the current Resort Owners Group solution developed out of that early concept into a complete end-to-end platform in a growing leisure real estate market.

Gary will be responsible for guiding the strategic elements of the business as well as developing all sales and marketing channels for resort home sales.
